Assistant Remodeler Position

Job Description

The Assistant Remodeler is an entry-level position. As an Assistant Remodeler, your job is to support other remodelers by performing designated work tasks efficiently and at a high quality standard.

Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for upholding company standards in conduct, professionalism, and safety. You maintain these standards yourself and ensure others hold to these standards.

You have attention to detail, complete quality work, work efficiently, and stay on task until the job is done.

You maintain a clean, orderly, and professional job site. You assist Associate and Lead Remodelers to keep inventory of materials and equipment and perform various remodeling tasks.

You monitor and safeguard both client and company property. You maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety, durability, and reliability.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must:

  • demonstrate reliability and follow through on commitments,

  • conduct yourself with integrity and honesty,

  • be able to work cleanly,

  • be physically fit to perform hard manual labor for sustained periods (reach, crawl, bend, lift 80lbs),

  • be able to work outside in extreme temperatures for long hours,

  • have excellent hand-eye coordination,

  • be able to perform mathematical calculations and take accurate measurements, and

  • be exceptionally safety-conscious.

Remodeling Skills

As an Assistant Remodeler, you will support team members who perform a variety of skills. You will be exposed to skills that run the gamut of residential remodeling, but you will primarily master the following:

  • Job site prep, stocking, and organization as required

  • Setting up and maintaining dust control

  • Demolition of existing finishes and structure

  • Digging trenches and footings with hand and power tools

  • Assist with carpentry, drywall, tile, and other remodeling tasks

  • Job site clean-up

Experience and Education

  • No experience required, but one year of trades experience is preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Fluency in English

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish language a plus

Necessary Equipment

You will need the following equipment for this job:

Reliable transportation. You need a valid Driver License, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.

Reliable smartphone. You will need one capable of running our timesheet app.
